Utica University women's basketball coach to enter sports hall.

Staff Report / Uticalocal.org

Utica University's Head Women’s Basketball Coach Michele Davis is set to be inducted into the Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame this fall. Davis expressed her gratitude for the honor, attributing her growth as a person and coach to her experiences at Notre Dame, Herkimer College, and the University at Albany. Since 2000, Davis has been the head coach for Utica's women’s basketball team, achieving 299 wins and leading the Pioneers to Empire 8 championships in 2007-08 and 2009-10. Notably, in the 2009-10 season, she guided her team to the program’s first NCAA Tournament victory. Coach Davis and five others will be recognized at the organization’s 35th Hall of Fame ceremony on Sunday, October 6th. Congratulations to Coach Davis on this well-deserved achievement!
