Support Veterans: Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is highlighting the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program. The National Domestic Violence Hotline can be reached at 1-800-799-SAFE for support.
The Philadelphia VA Medical Center emphasizes that there is no excuse for abuse. Veterans who are experiencing domestic violence are encouraged to seek help. The Philadelphia VA Medical Center has domestic violence specialists available to assist. Veterans can call 215-823-5800 to speak with a domestic violence specialist in social work. Additionally, inquiries can be sent via email to Cheryl.Greubel@va.gov.
