Wake County Schools Honors Veteran Staff Members

The Wake County Public Schools in Apex, North Carolina, has taken time this week to honor their veterans who are now part of the school staff. Among these veterans is First Sergeant Pablo Colón, who serves as a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) instructor at Millbrook Magnet High School.
1SG Colón has a commendable background, having served in the U.S. Army for 20 years before retiring. He expressed that he realized early in his military career that he wanted to work with students after his service. He found that opportunity in Wake County's educational environment.
The school district extended their gratitude to 1SG Colón and all staff members who are veterans for their service and ongoing commitment to the students.
