**LA County Invests $1.5M to Expand High Road Training Partnership for Arts, Media, and Entertainment**

Los Angeles County has announced a $1.5 million investment aimed at expanding the Arts, Media, and Entertainment High Road Training Partnership (AME-HRTP). This initiative, celebrated during National Apprenticeship Week, is a collaborative effort involving the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), the Bric Foundation, and the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB).

The AME-HRTP program is designed to support underserved communities, particularly those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, by providing access to high-quality training, career coaching, mentorship, and paid on-the-job experience in the arts and entertainment sectors. The focus will be on high-skill and high-wage roles in areas such as film and television, animation, visual effects, gaming, music, and live events. The program will also emphasize union training and mentorship to create sustainable career opportunities.

This $1.5 million commitment is part of a larger investment strategy that includes a previous $3.5 million allocation from the California Workforce Development Board and a total of $37.47 million invested in High Road Training Partnerships by the DEO. For more information about the AME-HRTP program, individuals can visit the Bric Foundation's website.
