Officers Complete Training in Verbal De-Escalation Techniques

verbal de-escalation techniques. It includes real-life role-playing exercises to help officers practice safely and respectfully de-escalating crisis situations.
Officers from the Ontario County Sheriff's Office Road Patrol, Criminal Investigation Division, Corrections Bureau, and 911 Center participated in the training, along with members of the City of Geneva Police Department, Canandaigua Police Department, and Yates County Sheriff's Office.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office expressed gratitude to all the participating officers for their commitment to enhancing community safety and mental health awareness. Congratulations were extended to the graduates for their dedication to the well-being of the community.
