Women's Flag Football Playoffs Kick Off in NC
Staff Report / apexlocal.org
The first rounds of the Women's Flag Football State Playoffs took place Wednesday night at various locations across North Carolina, including Enloe GT/IB Magnet High School in Apex. Some games were postponed due to rain, but teams at Enloe continued to compete despite the slippery and muddy conditions.
In the playoffs, the Garner Magnet High School Trojans won against the Sanderson High School Spartans in their opening game. They then advanced to the third round by defeating the host Enloe Eagles. Additionally, the Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School Bulldogs secured a spot in the next round after defeating the Broughton Magnet High School Capitals.
The semifinal and final games are scheduled for December 7 at Durham County Memorial Stadium. Women's Flag Football is not yet officially sanctioned by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association, so this year's playoffs were organized by the participating schools.
