San Diego saw several major developments this week. The San Diego Padres celebrated opening day with a win at Petco Park. In higher education, California State University San Marcos announced plans to build a science and technology center with a budget of $110 million. Additionally, the City of Carlsbad’s Ionis reached a deal valued at $940 million with Japan’s Ono Pharmaceutical.
