The City of Geneva, NY is offering free backyard composting kits through the City Clerk’s Office. Kits are available for pick-up Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Each kit includes an 80-gallon compost bin, a kitchen collector, a screen/base, an aerator, and a guide.

For those who do not have space for backyard composting, the city is also providing a green-lid kitchen caddy for food scrap drop-off at Doran Ave.

This initiative is provided by the Ontario County Department of Sustainability and Solid Waste Management. For more details, visit OntarioCountyRecycles.org.
