Geneva, NY – The Geneva Fire Department conducted fire safety training with students at Hobart and William Smith College on Friday. During the session, students received lessons in fire safety, including demonstration on the proper use of fire extinguishers and guidelines on when to use them.

Additionally, students experienced a simulation that involved navigating a smoke-filled dormitory to understand conditions during a fire emergency. Firefighters also employed a pre-built dormitory-style room to demonstrate the rapid growth of a fire.

The Geneva Fire Department expressed its gratitude to Hobart and William Smith College for hosting the training.
