The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is gearing up for the busiest summer travel season with a spike in checkpoint volumes at airports in Upstate New York and across the nation. Passengers are reminded to check for prohibited items, pack liquids in checked bags if over 3.4 ounces, and declare firearms in checked baggage to avoid penalties and potential law enforcement involvement.

TSA PreCheck® members should ensure their known traveler number (KTN) is in their airline reservation to receive expedited screening benefits. For more information on enrolling or renewing in TSA PreCheck, travelers can visit tsa.gov/precheck.
