Columbus State Honors Veterans with Luncheon Event

Columbus State Community College in Columbus, Ohio held a Veterans Day Commemoration Luncheon this afternoon, featuring keynote speaker Deborah Ashenhurst, the Director of Ohio Department of Veterans Services. Ashenhurst, who retired from the U.S. Army and the National Guard in 2015 after over 37 years of service, addressed attendees at the event. Columbus State President David Harrison also spoke during the luncheon. Annually, more than 500 students at Columbus State receive military benefits, highlighting the state's commitment to supporting veterans in their transition to civilian life.
