They used heavy whipping cream, specifically Maola brand, which is farmer-owned and processed at local dairies. The heavy whipping cream came in a pint size, which is 473 mL, and is ultra-pasteurized. The students whipped the cream into butter and utilized their homemade product during a Thanksgiving feast in the classroom. This event aimed to teach students about food preparation and the importance of local ingredients.
