Air Traffic Controllers Gather for Annual Meeting

Albany International Airport in Albany, New York recently hosted the Annual Air Traffic Managers Meeting, attended by air traffic controllers (ATCs) from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Boston District. This event brought together ATCs from various locations including Albany (ALB), Syracuse (SYR), Bradley (BDL), Boston Logan (BOS), Burlington (BTV), Nantucket (ACK), Portland (PWM), Bangor (BGR), Boston Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON), Boston Center, Bradley Approach, and T.F. Green Airport (PVD).

The meeting focused on discussing safety trends, new procedures, training for new hires, and resource management. ATCs play a critical role in directing aircraft, preventing collisions, communicating with pilots, and monitoring weather conditions, contributing significantly to the safety of air travel every day.
