Three Researchers Awarded 2024 Albany Medical Prize

Albany Medical Center has awarded the 2024 Albany Medical Center Prize in Medicine and Biomedical Research to three researchers for their significant contributions to RNA research. The recipients are Lynne E. Maquat, PhD, from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry; Adrian R. Krainer, PhD, from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory; and Howard Y. Chang, MD, PhD, from Stanford University School of Medicine. Their work has advanced the understanding of RNA-mediated gene regulatory programs related to various medical conditions, including spinal muscular atrophy, cancers, and autoimmune diseases.
