**Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office Reports Arrest of Ithaca Man for DWI**

On October 10, 2024, at approximately 6:37 PM, Carl F. Moravec, a 76-year-old resident of Ithaca, was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) – 1st offense, as well as other vehicle and traffic offenses. The arrest occurred on Bristol Avenue in the Town of Owasco after deputies responded to reports of a pickup truck that had struck a utility pole.

Upon their arrival, deputies conducted an investigation and subsequently detained Moravec, the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was transported to the Public Safety Building (PSB) for processing. Moravec received appearance tickets that require him to appear in the Town of Owasco Court on October 22, 2024, at 6 PM.
