Graduates Celebrate Completion of Careers Program

On November 15th, 29 graduates celebrated their completion of the Careers for a Cause program at East LA College's South East LA campus. This 8-week job training program, organized by Team DEO and local partners, focuses on preparing participants for careers in social services.

The program has served a total of 479 participants and has produced 385 graduates, with over $5.2 million invested in the community. Supervisor Janice Hahn presented the graduates with certificates of completion and commemorative scrolls during the ceremony.

Key partners in this initiative include East Los Angeles College, Amity Foundation, Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, the City of South Gate, and the South East LA America Job Center of California. The program aims to create opportunities for participants to positively impact their communities and begin new careers.
