In February, the Phoenix Fire Department responded to a drowning incident involving a 3-year-old girl named Annunziata Newell. The girl had fallen into her family's pool while they were preparing dinner outside. Upon arrival, Captain Anthony Harrison and his crew took over CPR from her father and successfully revived her on the scene. Thanks to the family's quick actions and the firefighters' rapid response, Annunziata was stabilized and transported to Valleywise Health. Following treatment at Valleywise and Phoenix Children's Hospital, she made a full recovery.

Recently, the Newell family had a reunion with the first responders who saved Annunziata's life. These reunions are meaningful for both the family and the firefighters, allowing them to see the positive outcome of their efforts.
